About Our Ingredients
 Taking care of your skin means understanding that much of
what you put on your skin ends up in your body. Shebas Secrets uses only the best natural and skin safe ingredients in our products.
Our ingredients include 100% natural essential oils, carrier oils and butters, organic herbs and spices, natural colors,
and other fine ingredients. We do offer synthetic fragrances and colors in some of our products. We offer
you the choice of Naturals or Fragrance Blends when ordering. If it's in our products, it's listed on our labels!
Shebas Secrets values the integrity of our products and would like them
to stay fresh and bacteria free for our customers. We use plant based preservatives to insure the safest products for you and your family.
Those other companies that say "All Natural, No Preservatives" is a concern. Do you really want to risk bacteria growing in the products your family uses on their skin?
Shebas Secrets products are never tested on animals! Most of our products are concidered VEGAN, meaning, they do not contain any
animal fat or by product. Some of our products DO contain Milk and Honey. These items are clearly labeled.
There is often confusion when reading ingredient labels. We just can't pronounce so many of the ingredient names listed!
Many are just simple, natural ingredients with BIG NAMES! These so called Big Names are names called INCI (International
Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients). INCI is a system of names for waxes, oils, pigments, chemicals, and other ingredients of soaps,
cosmetics, and the like, based on scientific names and other Latin and English words. Not to worry, we place both the INCI names and their common names on the label for you.
Natural Essential Oils vs Synthetic Fragrance Oils:
Let's begin by defining each oil
- Fragrance oils are a blend of synthetically derived chemicals that create an aroma.
- Essential oils are highly concentrated oils extracted from plants, leaves, flowers, roots,
buds, twigs, rhizomes, heartwood, bark, resin, seeds and citrus fruits.
There is a growing population of consumers that prefer strictly natural products. For you, I would suggest select any of our products made with Pure Essential Oils and natural colors.
There is also a large population that enjoys natural products, but also enjoy a scent variety that simply can not be created by using Pure Essential Oils. For example, there is no
such thing as Strawberry Essential Oil. So if you enjoy the fragrance of fresh strawberries, you will have to select a fragrance oil blend.
This is not the end of the world. Shebas Secrets stives to product natural bath and body products. When using
fragrance oils and skin safe colors,
we may lose 1% - 5% of the natural value of a product. Example: You select a product listed as 100% Natural, but you want it scented in Strawberry, this product will retain a 95% to 99%
Natural Value. If you select one of our blends with an Essential Oil blend, you will retain the 100% Natural Ingredient Value.
Now that we know which is natural and which is synthetic (man made), it is up to you to decide which fragrance type is right for you.

TESTING NEW SKIN PRODUCTS:
Always perform a skin test when using new skin care products to ensure allergic
reactions do not occur. This can be done by applying skin care products to the
inside of the upper arm. If you are sensitive to a particular ingredient(s), a
reaction should occur within twenty-four hours of application. If a reaction occurs,
do not continue to use this product. If you are using our products on children or pets,
it is up to you, the adult, to perform such skin tests and supervise the use of our products. |
PACKAGING MATERIAL:
Please dispose of all packaging material appropriately. Shrink wrap can suffocate.
Dispose of properly and keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not flush packaging
material down drains, toilets, sinks etc. Think Green, recycle PET bottles, jars and
other recyclable material according to your local regulations. Reuse our packing
cartons, peanuts, bubble wrap, etc when shipping or storing your own fragile items.
These small things can help keep you safe and help keep the our planet GREEN. |
PRODUCTS CONTAINING HERBS, OATS, ETC:
To help prevent undisolved ingredients from going down the drain with the bath water,
simply insert the item in a muslin bag or piece of nylon. (pantyhose works great!)
This prevents any undisolved ingredients from going down the drain. Dispose of
in a trash receptical. Do not flush down toilet or drain! |
